The Countdown's On!!!

So, I seriously have this thing with birds. I don't quite understand it, but everytime I turn around I'm either killing one, or severely scaring or maiming another. The thing is, I like birds! I'm not on a hunt to kill or destroy them! I think they're pretty and sweet...pretty sweet. But either I'm just coming in contact with all of the suicidal and delusional birds, or I have a secret vendetta against them. Secret even to myself.
Yesterday I was driving to church when I saw this little bird swooping towards my wind screen. They usually divert at the last minute (those little daredevils), but this one splatted on the top left hand corner of the windshield and spiraled high into the air and into the field. I died a little on the inside and laughed a little on the outside.
I don't know if I wrote anything about it before I left, but I had a bird come into Global Grounds while I was working. He wanted a capuccino. Just kidding. He did come in though, and I scared him so badly that he rammed himself into the window a few times and then perched himself on the fake plant in the corner. It was his only consolation. I didn't know what to do so I called Daryl, the Bird Whisperer, who lured said bird out of the store and into freedom. But this is not why I am posting...I just went on a 3 paragraph tangent. Well done Jess! Anyway, I wanted to let all you lovely people know that my Alberta life is coming to an end. In 3 weeks' time I will be moving to Abbotsford to begin my studies at Columbia Bible College. I will be taking Foundation of Christian Missions, Cross Cultural Communication, and Intro to Conflict Management. I'm nervous and excited all at the same time. It's been a long time since this little one has been to school. EEEEeeee!!!
Also, I just received my prayer cards so if any of you want them, either come find me (if you are within walking/driving/running/biking distance) or email me at yeshspoo@yahoo.ca and leave me your mailing address and I shall send you one so you can place me upon your fridge door, or anywhere else you deem appropriate.

Jess, I have thought of you many a time recently as I creamed a small feathered friend while busting down the highway. Ok...I haven't killed that many...only two in the past two weeks, I think. (but seriously, why DO they fly straight into the bloody car?!?)

The Bird Whisperer? Seriously? I'll have you know, I killed a bird myself today. He was eating some roadkill with his friends on the highway. All his friends got out of the way in time, but he was either greedy, stupid or really hungry, cause, well, he didn't make it... uh oh, hang on, I forgot to check the grill on the front of the van to see if he is still there...
